Initial Vein Consultation

Your first visit to our center for a vein consultation (spider or varicose veins) will include a thorough evaluation including medical history and physical examination of veins to be treated. Where medically indicated for varicose and deeper vein problems, complete ultrasound studies can be conducted right here for your convenience. We will be able to start the process with your insurance for these treatments. Many treatments are eligible for coverage.

Spider vein treatments are considered cosmetic and you will be given treatment options.

Trans-illumination studies will reveal presence or absence of reticular veins (feeder veins) which lie under the skin and are not normally visible to the eye.

If indicated, ultra-sound studies can be performed to evaluate for deeper vein problems. This is normally billed to insurance and is done in our office at the same time for your convenience.

Varicose and Spider Vein Explanation Vein evaluations last 30 – 60 minutes in which time you will receive all the information and education you need for your particular vein problem and appropriate treatment.
