Skin Rejuvenation Treatments

At Vein Specialties our focus is on the treatment of all kinds of vein problems. This includes varicose veins, spider veins, chronic venous insufficiency which can cause serious problem including skin changes, blood clots, vein inflammation and chronic ulcers.

Many of our patients, having had their vein problems successfully treated, wish to continue of the road to improving their general health and appearance.

We are now able to offer our existing patients safe and effective treatments to enhance prior vein treatments or to treat other areas of concern such as the face, chest area, arms etc.

Ivy Filson in a licensed esthetician with many years of laser and skin care experience. She is able to help patients with skin rejuvenation, acne, rosacea control, and tattoo and hair removal.

MICRODERMABRASION

We have recently added this procedure to our practice partly at patient request and also to enhance other products and procedures we offer.

The DiamondTome skin resurfacing procedure is a wonderful technique for removing the topmost layer of skin, leaving it supple and vibrant.

DiamondTome added to procedures such as Cutera Laser Genesis (collagen tightening) and/or Intense Pulsed Light therapy (pigmentation, age spots, redness and texture) will enhance and prolong the effectiveness. After treatment of facial spider veins and redness with Cutera CoolTouch or IPL, many patients wish to proceed with skin rejuvenation programs and microdermabrasion will enhance these procedures.

DiamondTome is a wonderful procedure before you start a new skin care regime such as Obagi NuDerm or Obagi-C Rx systems.

Whether used alone or in combination with other systems, patients experience softer, smoother and cleaner skin showing improved texture. Down time is minimal with some slight flushing to 10 – 30 minutes.

DiamondTome is effective after just one treatment but continued improvement in the condition being treated is seen after 3 to six treatments.

CUTERA LASER:

We recently added the CUTERA Coolglide Xeo laser system to our vein practice. This laser is superior in the field for its ability to treat spider veins more effectively. We are able to treat veins in patients with darker skin types which many lasers on the market today cannot. The pinpoint accuracy of this laser has greatly improved the treatments of very fine or lighter colored veins in many locations on the body such as: face, nose, ankles and chest area.

Another valuable function of this laser is the IPL (INTENSE PULSED LIGHT) handpiece. This is being successfully used to treat areas of skin staining caused by “hemosiderin” (iron) due to incompetent veins. This is very common in the lower extremities in people who have varicose veins, venous incompetence and dense spider vein clusters.

The CUTERA Coolglide Xeo laser system is also able to perform Hair Removal, Photo Genesis (Cutera Limelight IPL), and Laser Genesis.

HAIR REMOVAL:

Many patients have requested this service be added to our menu. We offer this to our existing patients who wish to continue with improving their appearance after their vein treatments. Both men and women benefit from the fast, SAFE and effective treatments. We are able to treat a man’s back in approximately 30 minutes. All hair removal requires 3 – 6 treatments over a period of time.

CUTERA LIMELIGHT IPL:

Again, many patients had asked for services to be added to compliment treatments they have had to facial veins. Patients frequently have sun damage associated with their facial spider veins (or neck and chest areas). Many have redness and brown spots. Cutera Limelight IPL is an Intense pulsed light treatment to facial vein treatment for a clearer complexion and improved skin tone. This is a wonderful treatment often offered in combination with Laser Genesis. This service usually requires a series of treatments.

LASER GENESIS:

Both men and women who have had facial vein treatments are interested in looking the best they can. This non-invasive laser treatment effectively treats fine lines, wrinkles and large pores for an overall fresher and more youthful appearance. This is achieved by heating the upper dermis well below the skin surface and stimulating collagen regrowth. Additional heat is generated in dilated capillaries to reduce redness. This treatment is often done in combination with CUTERA LIMELIGHT IPL for maximum results and requires ad series of 4 – 6 treatments.

LATISSE FOR LONGER, FULLER EYELASHES

Latisse is the first and only FDA approved treatment for people with inadequate or not enough eyelashes. In clinical trials a majority of users saw a significant improvement in 2 months.

Made by Allergan (Botox) Latisse has been studied in clinical trials and proven to produce darker, longer and thicker eyelashes with a very low incidence of complications and allergy.

Before receiving this product you will be asked questions such as: “Are you currently being treated for eye pressure problems?” and "Are you taking medication for eye pressure problems or have increased risk factors for an eye condition called GLAUCOMA family history”. If so, you should consult and eye care specialist before starting Latisse. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
