Insurance Coverage

Many treatments for vein disease have available coverage under most insurance plans. After taking an initial history with one of our nurses, Dr. Bein will examine the patient and determine if Duplex Ultrasonographic studies are necessary.

Spider veins, aymptomatic varicose veins and facial/hand vein treatments are considered cosmetic and cannot be considered for insurance coverage.

This study can, for the patient’s convenience, be performed in our office at the same visit. Ultrasound studies are usually billed to the insurance. It is required for correct diagnosis, establish medical necessity and for pre-determination with insurance providers.

Our experienced patient coordinators will act as your intermediary with your insurance provider to establish your benefits and submit all the necessary paperwork for pre-certification and pre-determination. This is often a long and complicated procedure as all providers have different benefit plans and procedures. Sherrie and Shannon will keep you apprised of the progress.

We are in-network providers with several plans. Please ask our staff when you call for an appointment. We are happy to work with all plans with out-of-network coverage.
